Local Assembly Updates – EMNHS Projects and Activities
Luxembourg, Local Assembly 1
𝗘𝗠𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗟𝗚𝗕𝗧𝗤𝗜+ organized Local Assembly I in Luxembourg City on 04 December 2025, bringing together 22 young people from across the country.
Through role-play, World Café discussions, and hands-on planning with the project Toolkit, participants explored discrimination, promoted social inclusion, and developed concrete action plans for their communities.
The event concluded by connecting young activists with local NGOs to support future collaboration.

Luxembourg, Local Assembly 2
On 16 December 2025, EMNHS LGBTQI+ held Local Assembly II in Luxembourg, bringing together 22 students and young people as part of the EMNHS Erasmus+ Project.
The assembly focused on hate speech in digital and physical spaces, featuring a Digital Safety Audit, peer-to-peer case analysis, and discussions on online polarization and digital literacy.
Participants also validated EMNHS educational resources and committed to piloting them within university and high school student unions across Luxembourg.

Luxembourg, EMNHS Mini Launch Event
On 16 September 2025, EMNHS LGBTQI+ presented key outcomes of the EMNHS Erasmus+ Project in Luxembourg to a group of 10 participants, including students, youth workers, and local youth organization representatives.
The session introduced the “Online Action Protocols to Combat Hate and Discrimination” and the project Toolkit, sparking interactive discussions on adapting these tools to Luxembourg’s multilingual context.
Participants expressed strong interest in applying the protocols in their anti-bullying work and committed to aligning their organizational practices with inclusive values.

Bulgaria, Local Assembly
On 15 September 2025, an EMNHS LGBTQI+ workshop was held in Sevlievo, Bulgaria, bringing together 17 young people, youth workers, and local activists.
The event, organized within the IDTM framework, featured presentations on the Erasmus+ Programme and the EMNHS LGBTQI+ project, followed by interactive team-building activities and open discussions.
Participants explored how young people can actively counter hate speech and left empowered to promote equality, tolerance, and inclusion in their local communities.

Ukraine, Local Assembly 1
From 19 to 21 May 2025, EMNHS LGBTQI+ held Local Assembly I in Kyiv, Ukraine, bringing together 25 young people, youth workers, local activists, and members of the LGBTIQ+ community. Across three meetings, participants engaged in interactive workshops, team-building activities, and facilitated discussions focused on countering hate speech, inclusive communication, and empathy-building.
The assembly also introduced the project Toolkit and strengthened cooperation among youth councils, NGOs, and local authorities to inspire concrete local action against discrimination.

Ukraine, Local Assembly 2
From 26 to 28 May 2025, EMNHS LGBTQI+ organized the second Local Assembly I in Kyiv, Ukraine, engaging 25 young people, youth activists, LGBTIQ+ community members, and local stakeholders.
Across three sessions, participants combined creative methods such as art therapy with dialogue circles and interactive workshops to reflect on the impact of hate speech and imagine inclusive futures.
The assembly also fostered strong networking and practical discussions on adapting the EMNHS Toolkit for daily youth work and community action.

Ukraine, Mini Launch Event
On 1 and 7 September 2025, NGO MAG organized two Mini Lunch multiplier events in Lviv, Ukraine, engaging around 20 young people at each session.
The events presented the project “Online Action Protocols to Combat Hate and Discrimination Against the LGBTIQ+ Community” and introduced the EMNHS Toolkit to youth activists, student representatives, and members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
Through open discussion and exchange of experiences, participants expressed strong motivation to apply the tools in their own initiatives and to create safer, more inclusive spaces for young people.

Nothing for Youth Without Youth – LOCAL ASSEMBLIES
Local Assemblies are structured gatherings that bring together young people, youth workers, educators, and community stakeholders to address shared challenges and foster dialogue. Specifically tailored to the LGBTIQ+ community, These assemblies aim to create safe and inclusive spaces for open communication, mutual learning, and collective action.
This assembiles are created within the project “ONLINE ACTION PROTOCOLS TO COMBAT HATE AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST THE LGTBIQ+ COMMUNITY” and realised by a partnership consisting of the following organisations: ADEFIS JUVENTUD INTERNACIONAL (Spain), European Centre for Human Rights (France), NGO Misto Aktivnyh Gromadan (Ukraine), CDC Luxembourg, Institute for Development of Training and Mobility (Bulgarie), and funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ KA220 programme (Project Ref. No: 2023-2-ES02-KA220-YOU-000174264)
We are looking for a diverse range of participants can enhance the assembly’s impact:
• Young people aged 18-26: Including both LGBTIQ+ and non-LGBTIQ+ individuals, fostering dialogue and solidarity across diverse groups.
• Youth workers: Representatives of local and national youth NGOs, clubs, and groups working with LGBTIQ+ communities, as well as organizations offering non-formal education and support to young people.
• Local institutions: Public and non-governmental organizations, media outlets, and institutions that promote inclusion and human rights. This includes organizations working with refugees (especially given the ongoing refugee crisis) and those supporting Ukrainian refugees.
